USDF/Platinum Performance North American Junior and Young Riders’ Dressage Championships Teams Announced

          Lexington, KY (Tuesday July 22, 2008) - The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) announced today the riders selected to represent the US in the USDF/Platinum Performance North American Junior and Young Riders' Dressage Championships (NAJYRDC), part of the 2008 CN FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) presented by Gotham North at The Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado. The championships will be held July 29-August 3, 2008.  A total of 61 juniors and young riders will represent each of USDF's nine regions.  The NAJYRC is an exciting competition with a format similar to the Olympics, with teams of riders invited from the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and Bermuda competing in dressage, eventing, show jumping and reining.

          The following riders and horses will represent the United States on a junior and young rider team of up to four from each of nine USDF regions.

USDF Region 1 Junior Team: Elizabeth Kelemen and Palomos, Chelsea Allen and Foenix

USDF Region 1 Young Rider Team: Sarah Cunningham and Ivan, Jessica Zoskey and FA Patriot, Bonnie Efird and Magie Noir 

USDF Region 2 Junior Team: Katie Foster and Sacramento, Emily Wright and Florestano, Katrina Hiller and The Toy Soldier, Allessandra McGinnis and Urban

USDF Region 2 Young Rider Team: Kassandra Barteau and Gabriella, Kristen Becker and Ramses, Brittany McCarthy and Cinbad, Dan Kreitl and Frulich

USDF Region 3 Junior Team: Katrin Dagge and Ladinor, Blaire Martindale and Lordano, Bryn Cahill and Giselle, McKenzie Jenkins and Tsarina

USDF Region 3 Young Rider Team: Hannah Michaels and Savoir Faire, Jillian Costello and Kismo

USDF Region 4 Junior Team: Lauren Gorton and Don Perry, Hans Baertsch and Rubinstar GB, Amy Hacker and Discoverer, Layne Sandercott and Cedrick
