Technical Delegates Council

Mission

To provide education and an organized voice for Technical Delegates.

Goals

  1. Provide educational programs for technical delegates and aspiring technical delegates.
  2. Review USEF rules and rule change proposals.
  3. Enhance the education of USA Equestrian stewards.

Objectives

  1. Update Technical Delegate checklist.
  2. Continue to support the USEF Dressage Committee with reviewing new rules and proposed rule changes.
  3. Work with USEF and USDF to resurrect the dressage FAQ's (formerly on the USEF Web site): revise the content and procedures for developing new materials and recommend location of the Web pages.
  4. Finalize the saddlery inspections presentation, publish availability in the Competition Contact and post on the USDF Web site.
  5. Research Licensed Officials liability insurance provided by USEF to determine whether it (or an alternative) would cover officials when they are forced to defend themselves at a USEF hearing.
