Team Selection

NAJYRC Banner

The teams for the North American Junior and Young Riders Championships (NAJYRC) are selected on the basis of criteria carefully approved jointly by the USEF Executive Committee and the USDF Executive Board. The NAJYRC is the highest-rated FEI competition in North and Central America outside of the Olympic and Pan American Games. Compliance with the rules must reflect the standard of this prestigious FEI International competition. A spirit of good sportsmanship must prevail above all else. USDF recognizes this as a critical element in the NAJYRC Team Selection process.

Adherence to the rules of the NAJYRC Qualifying Criteria is paramount in the selection process. The USDF Executive Board believes that rule compliance and sportsmanship are the responsibility of both the rider and the organizations administering the rules. Consistency in the administration of the rules, fairness for all riders, consideration for the horses, and maintaining the highest standards for our sport are the guiding principles for NAJYRC Team Selection.
